2011 LMP Holiday Party a Great Success!
It is often said that the law of attraction always works–surround yourself with people who share a similar ambition and have the drive to make themselves successful and together, you all move forward as a group. It’s one of those things: when everyone is engaged, the magic starts to happen.
Last Thursday, December 1st, at the new Pacific Grove Tourist Information Center, that magic actually happened at Leadership Monterey Peninsula’s Annual Holiday party! We ushered in the magic of the holiday season on the very 1st day of December, 2011. LMP alumni members, supporters, and their guests all joyously feasted in one of the most highly attended LMP holiday party in years. Fabulous food and drinks, holiday music of Tamas Marius, (Class of 2012), member of locally acclaimed Red Beans and Rice band, and the festive atmosphere at the PG Information Center all contributed to the makings of a great holiday party.
Putting successful leaders in one room at the same time could be quite a feat (just ask Executive Director Karen Csejtey!); but the camaraderie and excitement of seeing former classmates, together with the exclusive opportunity to meet new people who share similar ambition and drive to “create community excellence” was common ground for all the alumni members attending the event. One of the biggest highlights of the evening, the silent auction of unique items–from a professional magic show to Oakland A’s baseball tickets–proved to be quite the crowd pleaser and inspired some spirited bidding from attendees!
Thank you to all of the generous volunteers, donors, and staff who all made the evening truly fun, festive, and enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you again at next year’s holiday event!
